Birth to a Peruvian parent, or birth in Peru under the Nationality Law, creates Peruvian nationality. Ordinary foreign-parent temporary presence is not a general unrestricted jus soli path.
A person married to a Peruvian and resident in that condition for two years may acquire nationality by option.
A child of a Peruvian parent is Peruvian under the Nationality Law lineage rules, including birth abroad subject to registration.

Adult foreigners may apply after at least two consecutive years of legal residence, subject to Migraciones conditions (means, good conduct, exam) for their migration quality. Marriage to a Peruvian has a parallel two-year continuous residence track.
