Citizenship at birth through a Kyrgyz parent

Birth to a Kyrgyz parent creates nationality. Birth in Kyrgyzstan alone to foreign parents is not unrestricted jus soli; territorial rules cover foundlings and otherwise-stateless children.

Ethnic Kyrgyz and persons who prove affiliation with the people of Kyrgyzstan may acquire citizenship on simplified terms, constitutionally guaranteed and available while holding another nationality.
