A person married to a Kenyan for at least seven years is entitled, on application, to be registered as a citizen.
A person is a citizen by birth if a parent is a Kenyan citizen at the time of birth.

Adults lawfully resident for a continuous period of at least seven years may apply for registration as a citizen. Spouses of Kenyans may apply after seven years of marriage. Grant follows statutory conditions.
